In this Self Love Podcast Quicky, Kim shines a light on the powerful impact we can have on small business owners simply by showing a little support and kindness. Supporting small business isn’t always about spending money, a like, comment, share, Google review, recommendation to a friend or encouraging message can mean so much to someone who is pouring their time, energy, passion and personal resources into making their business work. Kim explores why encouragement can have such a positive effect on our wellbeing and invites us to choose one small business this week and do something unexpected to support them. One small act of kindness can create a ripple effect, lifting someone’s day, their motivation and their business, while helping build a stronger, more connected community.

Quotes:It is those tiny little actions that can completely change someone’s day.Every notification that says, someone shared your post, or someone left a 5 star review , feels like someone is standing right beside you saying, I see you. I believe in what you are doing.Your kind words don’t just make someone smile. They literally fuel their ability to keep showing up.It costs nothing. But it means everything. When good people succeed, communities become stronger, dreams become possible, Families are supported, and someone behind that business will wake up tomorrow believing they can keep going.Be the surprise in someone’s day. Be the unexpected encouragement, be the reason they do not give up.Kindness, just like love is contagious. One of the greatest ways we could practice self-love is by recognising that we rise even higher when we lift someone else.Every little act of kindness creates a ripple effect.

In this episode of The Self Love Podcast, Kim speaks with Sunshine Coast entrepreneur, wife, mum of two and co-founder of wholefood brands Luvarlee and Gutful, Eliza Joy Wellington.
Eliza shares the honest and inspiring story behind building a life and businesses alongside her partner Mikey from becoming parents young and navigating financial challenges, to moving across the world, surviving the uncertainty of COVID and eventually building successful food businesses from the ground up. She opens up about the seasons that tested them, the importance of having a supportive partner, learning to adapt, and why following your passion doesn’t always mean taking the traditional path. Eliza also shares the lessons she has learned about authenticity, business, social media, money and the importance of being willing to back yourself.
At the heart of this conversation is a beautiful exploration of self-love, motherhood and personal growth. Eliza shares her powerful definition of self-love and encourages women to become their own biggest cheerleaders rather than letting self-doubt or fear hold them back. She reflects on the mentors and coaches who have supported her journey, being named a finalist in the Sunshine Coast Businesswoman Awards, and the values she hopes to pass on to her children. This is a heartfelt conversation about resilience, optimism, authenticity and creating a life that feels true to you.
About Eliza:Eliza Joy Wellington is a Sunshine Coast based entrepreneur, mother of two and co-founder of two wholefood brands, Luvarlee and Gutful. Alongside her fiancé Mikey, she has spent the last six years building businesses from the ground up, completely bootstrapped, without loans or investors, driven entirely by a passion for real food, family and living in alignment with her values.
Eliza’s journey has been anything but linear. From working airport ground crew, to living in Bali, closing a thriving restaurant overnight due to COVID, returning home with a toddler, a baby on the way and nothing in her pocket, and rebuilding from scratch, she knows firsthand what it means to start over, back yourself and keep going anyway.
Today Luvarlee is a trusted wholefood brand, stocked in health food retailers across South East Queensland and loved by thousands of families. As the business continues to grow, Eliza and Mikey are expanding into their own commercial kitchen, a milestone that felt impossible not so long ago. Gutful came next, born from Eliza’s own experience as a mum navigating fussy eaters and desperately wanting a simple, clean way to get more goodness into her kids every single day.
Eliza is a passionate advocate for women backing themselves, finding joy in the everyday and building lives that feel genuinely aligned with who they are. She is currently a finalist for the 2026 Sunshine Coast Business Woman of the Year award.
Her definition of Self Love is: It is honouring to me. It is honouring where you are at while still believing what is possible. It is speaking to yourself with kindness, resting when you need to, backing yourself to grow, recognising that acceptance and growth can exist together.
I think it is okay to desire more for yourself and that is an act of self-love as well. Wanting more whilst also appreciating exactly where you are at.
Her favourite quote is: What you are not changing, you are choosing.

Quotes:I never let fear of failure or fear of judgement or a lack of qualifications hold me back from just giving things a go.I just love to live life to the fullest and have fun along the way.We made a conscious decision never to let parenthood slow us down or stop us from living a jam packed fun life.I think it’s so important to have a partner who is your ride or die and who is there to support you.Having that person who is just there for you 100% makes business possible, makes parenthood possible, makes a beautiful life possible. He brings out the best in me and he teaches me to be optimistic and look on the bright side. She has taught me to slow down and just enjoy every moment.I think there are seasons of hustle and there are seasons of slowing down.It is challenging. It is a juggle having young kids and running businesses. We have been through the hard yards now and we are reaping the rewards now.I am so glad that we went through those tough times because it makes the good times even sweeter.Network marketing taught me social skills, sales psychology, leadership skills, public speaking, confidence, and social media skills.People love authenticity. They can sense when you are being untruthful.Everything that we claim to be, we are, and I think customers know who Mikey and I are. We are truthful, honest real people.I think being around the kids and having fun with them is our outlet. It helps us fill up our cup and feel good again after a busy, stressful day.I have realised that we are perfect for each other. We challenge each other, we back each other, we support each other. We value each other. We bring out the best in each other. We should be cheering ourselves on and celebrating our wins and speaking to ourselves like the boss babes that we are.We are all limitless beings. We are all capable of way more than we give ourselves credit for.Go after whatever it is that you want and back yourself and don’t give up and love every minute of it.Love the journey.

Quotes:The deepest home we will ever know is the one within ourselves.Coming home to yourself is simply remembering who you were before the world convinced you that you had to become some thing or someone else.Coming home to yourself, literally means living in alignment. It means your thoughts, your words, your actions, and your values all point in the same direction.Stress often isn’t created by what’s happening around us. It is created by living out of alignment with ourselves.Perhaps coming home isn’t travelling anywhere at all. Perhaps it is simply returning to coherence, returning to harmony, returning to your natural frequency. We don’t force ourselves forward. We just invite ourselves to gently return, again, and again. It is just asking for gentle remembrance. What does my soul need? The body, if we choose to pay attention, will always whisper before it screams. To honour yourself is to treat yourself as though you are someone sacred, not perfect.I truly believe self love isn’t about becoming more.Self love is not a destination. It is the beautiful journey of coming home to yourself. The longest journey you will ever take is the 18 inches from your head to your heart.

In this heartfelt episode of the Self Love Podcast, Kim speaks with Rebecca Warke to explore the inspiration behind her powerful new book, Take a Hike. Written in the aftermath of heartbreak, the book chronicles Beck’s deeply personal journey from loss and self-abandonment to healing, self-discovery and coming home to herself. Together, they unpack the lessons hidden within life’s most challenging seasons, discussing attachment patterns, people pleasing, relationship dynamics and the unconscious beliefs formed in childhood that can shape the way we love and relate to others. Beck shares how what once felt like a complete breakdown ultimately became the breakthrough that transformed her life.
Throughout the conversation, Beck offers gentle yet practical wisdom for anyone navigating grief, change or the process of rebuilding themselves. She explains how small acts of self-care, learning to honour personal boundaries and keeping promises to yourself can create lasting transformation. Kim and Beck also explore parenting through difficult times, the importance of modelling resilience, and how self compassion becomes the foundation for true healing. Filled with hope, honesty and practical tools, this episode is a beautiful reminder that the hardest climbs often lead to the most breathtaking views, and that no matter where you are on your journey, it is always possible to find your way back to yourself.
About RebeccaRebecca Warke is an author, entrepreneur, adventurer, and single mother of two who is passionate about helping people navigate life’s biggest transitions with courage, honesty, and self-awareness.
Her debut book, Take A Hike, was born from one of the most transformative periods of her life. Through heartbreak, healing, self-discovery, and personal growth, Rebecca found herself asking the same questions many people face when life doesn’t go to plan: Who am I now? What am I meant to learn from this? And how do I find my way back to myself?
Drawing from her own lived experience, Rebecca writes with vulnerability and authenticity about love, loss, resilience, attachment, forgiveness, spirituality, and the journey of rebuilding a life that feels aligned and meaningful. Her work extends to in person workshops and group hikes to support and hold space for anyone navigating change, grief, or personal transformation.
When she’s not writing, Rebecca can be found exploring the outdoors, spending time with her children, playing AFL, in the gym, building business, chasing new adventures, and creating a life centred around freedom, connection, and meaningful experiences.
Her definition of Self Love is: Self love means to keep the promise you made yourself.
Her favourite quote is: The best views come after the hardest climbs.

Quotes:Life did evolve, a relationship ended and I found myself in a space of feeling quite lost as to who I was.I was overanalysing, overthinking, I was looping, I’m trying to fix something that can’t be fixed, make sense of something that no longer made sense. The way for me to get those thoughts out was to write. My intention was to bring some sanity back to myself. It felt a little bit like a book I would like to read.I couldn’t even get myself to do the things that make me feel like me.I didn’t know who I was anymore. It took many months to appreciate that it was a breakthrough. These things happen for us to really come home to ourselves. This experience has allowed that door to open for me to realise that it is a breakthrough, and it is an opportunity for me to really come home to me.The book has been the way that I processed that and made that progress. It is part memoir, reflection and self help.It is designed to meet people where they are at on their journey, wherever that may be.I have given myself full permission to prioritise myself.I abandoned myself so many times and my ambitions and my desires. It is like you become an observer rather than a participant. We are following the map that was imprinted in us as children.I was also operating from a space of safety and survival. The maps can be redrawn.Healing while you still have to parent, still have to show up for work, still have to put a roof over your kids’ head, still have to feed them, is the hardest thing that I have ever had to do.When you start connecting with yourself and start seeing yourself and start loving yourself, you celebrate those things instead of putting yourself down.I promised myself I would not lose myself in love again. We are going to have challenging times. If we can navigate them, take one step in front of the other, the view at the top is bliss.

In this week’s Quicky, Kim explores the profound healing power of nature and how reconnecting with the body’s innate intelligence can support true wellbeing. She unpacks holistic healing modalities such as acupuncture, homeopathy and aromatherapy sharing how each works to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes rather than simply masking symptoms. Kim also offers simple, practical rituals to help you reconnect with yourself, including spending time in nature, tuning into the body’s daily needs, using essential oils as emotional anchors and prioritising nervous system health through rest and self-care. This is a gentle invitation to trust your body’s wisdom, embrace nature as your greatest healer, and remember that healing is less about becoming someone new and more about returning to who you have always been.

Quotes:I truly believe it is because nature remembers who we are long before we forget. We have become incredibly good at looking outside of ourselves for answers.Your body, ultimately, is always trying to come home to itself and heal.Healing isn’t something we forced. It is something that we have to allow.Acupuncture reminds the nervous system how to regulate itself. You cannot tap into the unconscious brain more than what you can with the power of smell. The body responds to nature.Your body is the hero. These therapies simply provide information support and conditions that may help the body’s innate intelligence.Symptoms are not always the enemy. Sometimes they are the body’s language. Our bodies often whisper before they scream. The greatest self love practice isn’t fixing ourselves. It is remembering who we are, and that we were designed with extraordinary intelligence.Healing isn’t about becoming someone new. It is about remembering who you have always been.Nature has never been separate from us. We are nature, every breath, every heartbeat, every cell.

In this inspiring conversation, Kim sits down with Melissa Kupsch, founder of RMDY Collective and director of the RMDY Academy, to explore the principles of homeopathy and its role in supporting long term health and wellbeing. Melissa shares the personal experiences that led her to dedicate her career to homeopathy, explaining how this holistic approach aims to stimulate the body’s natural healing response by addressing the root causes of illness rather than simply managing symptoms. Together, they discuss the connection between physical health, emotional wellbeing, and inherited patterns, while unpacking how homeopathy is used in practice for both acute and chronic conditions, including fertility, mental health, hormonal imbalances and children’s health.
Melissa also reflects on the remarkable growth of the RMDY Academy, where hundreds of practitioners are being trained to meet the increasing demand for qualified homeopaths. Through powerful client stories she highlights the transformative potential she has witnessed through homeopathic care and the importance of working with experienced practitioners. The episode also covers what to expect from treatment, how to find a qualified homeopath, and Melissa’s free introductory course, Welcome to the Revolution, offering our listeners an opportunity to learn more about this holistic healing modality and decide whether it aligns with their own health journey.

Quotes:I was always going to land in the natural space.Your body only knows how to constantly try and heal you.The body is so divinely intelligent. We really want to look at you in your totality. Physically, mentally and emotionally. Most of us are walking around with a wounded spirit. With homeopathy, we go to the root cause of the issue. These remedies help us to feel. We feel the things, and that is why the physical symptoms then abate. You don’t need to outsource your healing all the time.I believe you deserve knowledge of how to care for this vessel that you were born in.Your body has a remarkable capacity to heal under the right influencesIn my opinion, this is the future of medicine.I highly regard our doctors, our surgeons, our specialists for what they can do, and they will forever reign in surgery, in emergency medicine. For many people, their depression and anxiety, it is not really theirs. The root of where it came from, it flows down those family lines.Once you experience it for yourself, I think that is where everything changes, because you know that is your experience, and no one can ever take that away from you.You are only as well as your secrets.Homeopathy isn’t what heals you, you are what heals you.Homeopathy cracks open the door. It gives you a rocket launch forward. It still is up to you.I still have to choose the right things for the rest of my life.Children often are born into this world with quite a robust vital force. You do want to be patient. Some good things take time.We are where we are, we accept that, but we can either take steps forward, or we can stay still, or worse, we can start going back.Give yourself grace in all the times that you mess up.We can all have the ability to feel this good naturally.

Quotes:
This moment is the only place life is ever happening.
When we become fully present, that default mode network begins to quieten.
Presence isn’t about emptying your mind. It is about gently returning your attention to what is here now.
These tiny moments are not interruptions to life. They are life.
Within 3 to 4 seconds, aroma can begin influencing our emotions, memories, and nervous system.”
That is the art of presence. It is not perfection. It is just awareness.
When we are truly present, we are no longer rushing through life, trying to get somewhere else.
We realise that this moment, this breathe, this heartbeat, this conversation, is where our life has always been waiting.
May you remember that your greatest power has never lived in the past or the future. It has always lived right here, right now.

SLP 600: The Gift of Life with Kate Clark
Jul 28, 2026
Jul 28, 2026
1hr 9 min
In this inspiring episode, during Donate Life Week, Kim sits down with liver transplant recipient, athlete, and advocate Kate Clark to share an extraordinary story of resilience, gratitude, and making the most of a second chance at life. After losing her brother to the same rare genetic liver condition that later led to her own transplant at just 17 years old, Kate reflects on the challenges of chronic illness, survivor's guilt, and the life changing gift of organ donation. She opens up about the mindset shift that helped her reclaim her future, the importance of living in the present, and how self-love, resilience and movement have shaped her journey through grief, recovery, and beyond.
Kate also shares how she transformed her second chance into an incredible athletic career, representing Australia at the World Transplant Games and inspiring others through her work as a trustee of the World Transplant Games Federation. As we recognise Donate Life Week, this conversation is a timely reminder of the profound impact organ donation can have, not only on recipients, but on families and communities. Kate encourages us to register as organ donors, have meaningful conversations with our loved ones about our wishes and embrace every opportunity life presents with courage, purpose and gratitude.
About Kate
Kate Clark grew up in regional New South Wales, the youngest child of Kim and John, with her older brother Johnny. Johnny became seriously unwell at the age of three, and the family moved first to Wollongong and later Sydney to be closer to specialist medical care. He received his first liver transplant at nine, a second at eleven, and a third at fifteen, a long and difficult journey that shaped the entire family. Kate was diagnosed with the same disease at eight. Johnny passed away at fifteen due to complications following surgery; Kate was twelve.
Kate spent her teenage years refusing to let illness dictate her life. Running became her way to cope with grief, anger, and uncertainty, a place where she could choose her own pace and make some sort of sense of things. Even with chronic liver failure she competed at a high level in both state and national titles in athletics and cross country. At seventeen she was listed for a transplant, a decision she resisted after watching her brother’s experience. That changed one morning when she describes having an epiphany: if she was going to face a transplant, she wanted to be fit enough to take it on. She returned to training, ran some of the best times of her life, and received the call that evening.
Her surgery lasted more than 21 hours. Her parents were told not to expect her home. She spent three months in hospital, three more with home nursing, and then - stubbornly - returned to training. She went on to represent Australia at the World Transplant Games, compete at the OCR World Championships, and build a life fixed on movement, community, and purpose.
Kate eventually landed her dream job at Transplant Australia, and spent two years working to motivate, inspire and engage the transplant community. She now serves as Chair of the Sports & Events Committee for the World Transplant Games Federation and Chair of the Transplant Football Commission. She is delivering the second Transplant Football World Cup and the first-ever Women’s Transplant Football Showcase tournament in September – something she is extremely proud of.
Her family’s health story continued to shape her life: her father received a transplant in 2004 and continues to thrive, and her mother passed away from cancer in 2018.
Kate’s experiences have given her a clear sense of what matters and what doesn’t. She has learned to value the small, ordinary parts of life, the things that actually get you through hard moments. Living so close to illness and loss taught her that material things mean nothing in the end, and that what lasts is gratitude, empathy, and humility. These principles (she hopes) guide how she works, how she leads, and how she shows up for others in the transplant community and beyond.
Her definition of Self Love is: Self love is setting boundaries. It is accepting myself for all of my warts and all.
Her favourite quote is : You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Quotes:
Sometimes you must endure the ride in order to get the best parts.
Sometimes you are down the bottom, and you don’t know whether to get off or go back round again. But then the life at the top is full of beautiful moments and a great view.
If I am going to face it, I need to face it head on and do what I can to be able to, come out the other side and live a normal life.
Running certainly helped with overcoming anger, grief, all those things after my brother passed away.
Tell me I can’t do something and I will do my best to prove you wrong.
It is a huge part of the transplant journey. It is called survivor’s guilt.
There is often so much guilt that is wrapped up in gratitude.
Every morning we wake up, paying tribute and trying to honour the gift that we are being given.
Families have to make a decision at the most harrowing time of their life to pass that gift on.
We try and show them the gratitude that we have for them making that decision at the time, in their moment of utter grief and tragedy.
Face the challenges that are right in front of you today and then move past them.
You don’t look in the rear view mirror, you look forward because that is the way you are going.
Tomorrow is not guaranteed to anyone.
Live the now.
Focus on here, focus on the now, do the things that bring you joy, share that joy wherever you can.
Be present in the now.
Be present for the people that you love as well.
If you are willing to accept, you should also be willing to give.
Trying to respect my needs while still being there for others.
Face the challenges that are right in front of you today. And then move past them.
One donor can save up to seven lives and then better the lives of many more.
It is important to have that conversation with them, advise them of your wishes, ensure that they understand.
The time just enables you to reflect on the positives with a smile and with love in your heart rather than the sadness.
Allowing yourself to just feel. Feel the feels. But don't wallow in them.
It is nice to have a cry sometimes. It is nice to have a laugh.
You do have the strength within you, whether you believe it in yourself or not.

Quotes:I truly believe one of the most underacted acts of self care available to us all is movement.Your incredible body performs miracles. So often we focus on what our body looks like rather than what it allows us to do.The truth is movement is one of the greatest gifts we can ever bestow upon ourselves. When we move our bodies, we don’t just strengthen muscles, we strengthen our mind.A walk in nature can solve problems that hours of overthinking never will. One of the greatest lessons movement teaches us is to become comfortable being uncomfortable.Ageing well isn’t about looking younger or trying to do everything you can to avoid it. It is about continuing to live fully.Your body is not a problem to be fixed. It is a miracle to be celebrated.Every step, every breath, every movement, is a declaration of self love.

In this deeply moving episode of the Self Love Podcast, Kim Morrison sits down with adaptive athlete, world record holder, and mental health advocate Mick Marshall, whose life changed forever after a catastrophic 120 metre fall from a wind turbine in 2021. Facing multiple surgeries, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), and the daunting challenge of learning to walk again, Mick refused to let his circumstances define him. Drawing on the mindset of an endurance athlete, he shares how he rebuilt both his body and his spirit through movement, innovative recovery practices, and an unwavering commitment to believing that healing was possible. His extraordinary journey has since seen him break world records, including completing the fastest marathon on crutches, proving that resilience can flourish even in life’s darkest moments.
Together, Kim and Mick explore what self love truly means when life doesn’t go to plan, touching on the power of acceptance, the importance of surrounding yourself with the right support team, and why movement remains one of our greatest medicines. From ultramarathons and mindset to gratitude, purpose, and the incredible energy that comes from human connection, this conversation is filled with practical wisdom and heartfelt inspiration. Mick leaves listeners with a powerful reminder that our greatest limitations are often the ones we place on ourselves.
About MickMick Marshall is a world record-breaking adaptive athlete, motivational speaker, and passionate advocate for mental health. His journey embodies resilience, transforming a devastating workplace accident into an extraordinary story of determination and triumph.
In 2021, Mick’s life changed forever when he fell from a wind turbine, suffering catastrophic leg injuries. Enduring nine major surgeries, two complete foot reconstructions, and a gruelling rehabilitation process, he had to relearn how to walk again three times.
Mick now lives with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a chronic condition that causes intense, burning pain, often far worse than the original injury. But Mick refuses to let pain define him. Instead, he has channelled his endurance athlete mindset into recovery, ultimately setting a world record for the fastest marathon completed on crutches.
Following his accident, Mick endured years of powerful medications, meant to mask the pain but pushing him to the brink of despair. His turning point came with a bold decision to run again. Despite warnings from his legal team that running would jeopardise any compensation, Mick prioritised his mental health, choosing movement over fear. Though he can never return to his career as an electrician, his former employer has denied him a payout.
Today, Mick is the founder of Beyond Endurance, a movement dedicated to helping others face life’s toughest challenges. He encourages people to rethink their relationship with pain and reminds them that giving up is never the answer. Through his keynote presentations, Mick shares hard-earned insights on resilience, mindset, and overcoming adversity, inspiring audiences across industries to push past their perceived limitations.
Whether addressing corporate teams, athletes, school students, or rehabilitationcommunities, Mick’s story is a powerful reminder that obstacles are not roadblocks, they are opportunities to redefine what’s possible.
His definition of Self Love is: Self love is to find your peace. To actually accept.
His favourite quote is: You think you can or you think you can’t, you are going to be right.

Quotes:They trigger you and they come up and they never go away because they actually become a part of who you are. But it is how we manage them. That was just the beginning of a very long, slow, difficult journey that I have come out the other end to be grateful to have. The mental game really stuffed me. I could always recover physically. My system was super sensitive and over sensitised. It was not feeling very safe, so it would just shut you down. The biggest part of learning for me was to be accepting of me, for me.I completely lost the life that I knew. What has always helped me? It always was running or movement.Moving is the healthiest habit you could ever have.Moving is the best medicine that you could ever have in your life.My real healing happened with rest, sleep, heal and activate. Rest, sleep, heal and activate. And I did that for 3 to 4 months.Stop watching the stuff that is going to make you feel horrible.People say, ‘How do you do it?’ And I would say, ‘Because I can.’To get hard stuff done, you have got to do hard stuff. You will never know if you don’t keep going. We have all got different abilities instead of disabilities.Let’s look at the cup half full instead of the cup half empty.I gain my respect through action.I can still adapt. I can still change. I can still evolve.I am my own person to flourish in any way I can.You have got to let go of that outside noise because it is that outside noise that is affecting you.The number one thing that you can do is just breathe.Breathe and smile.Don’t run a marathon all at once. In this Quicky of the Self Love Podcast, Kim explores the topic of forgiveness and challenges the belief that healing always requires it. She unpacks the true meaning of forgiveness, shares why acceptance may be an even more powerful path to freedom, and explains how acknowledging the past doesn’t mean approving of what happened. Through thoughtful reflections and inspiring quotes, Kim encourages us to shift the question from “How can I forgive?” to “How can I free myself?” Ultimately, this episode is a reminder that self-love is about honouring your experiences, releasing the weight of the past, and choosing peace without needing anyone else to change.

You have a choice to walk away.Routine is a big thing for me. The militarily gave me that in spades.I wanted to feel like I belonged to something. When you learn to embrace failure, you enter this continuous improvement cycle.Every time I fail at something, I see it as an opportunity. When you address your weaknesses and you are accountable, people acknowledge that.I have always looked at me first. There is a fine difference between confidence and arrogance. When you operate in a group, you operate amongst collectively much more experience than individually you ever have.Respectful, intelligent conflict brings about positive change. You need to empower people to challenge your decisions. When you empower people to make decisions you are saying to them that you value them and you value their skills and capabilities, you trust them.Knowledge is power.Live longer, live stronger.I have three priorities in life.
